• What is a jewellery or watch valuation?

  A professional valuer examines your jewellery or watch thoroughly, giving you a precise description of the precious metals, gemstones or functions, and confirmation of how much it’s worth. Most people tend to get valuations on their most sentimental pieces as a way to protect them in the event of loss or damage. Once valued, you’ll receive a digital valuation document, supported by an NFC card that links directly to your secure digital valuation — making it easy to access and share when needed for insurance or future updates.

• How much is it to get a valuation on my watch?

  Watch Valuation – £139

  The cost of a professional watch valuation is £139 for all types of watches, regardless of design or whether it includes diamonds.

  Please bring your watch into your nearest Beaverbrooks store, where one of our experts will inspect your watch and arrange your valuation.

• How much is it to get a valuation on my ring or jewellery?

  Jewellery Valuation – £119

  The cost of a professional jewellery valuation is £119 for all items, regardless of the design or number of stones.

  Please bring your jewellery into your nearest Beaverbrooks store, where one of our experts will inspect your piece and arrange your valuation.

• How do I arrange a valuation?

  The best way to arrange a valuation is by visiting your nearest Beaverbrooks store where one of our experts will talk you through the process and inspect your jewellery or watch before sending off. • Who provides the valuation?

  We work with the Birmingham Assay Office, the UK’s leading authority for jewellery and watch valuations, to provide you with a professional and independent service. Their expert valuers carefully examine your jewellery and watches using the latest gemmological equipment and best practice methods.

• How long does it take?

  Your valuation is usually completed within 10 working days after the Birmingham Assay Office have received your diamond, jewellery or watch. We’ll keep you updated on your valuation throughout the process.

• What do I need to bring with me?

  When you come to visit one of our store experts, please bring purchase receipts and any previous valuations or certificates with you so we can provide as much detail as possible to the valuers at SafeGuard.

• What do I get once my item has been valued?

  When your jewellery or watch has been returned, you’ll receive a digital valuation document containing a full description of your piece, its insurance value, and a photo. This is supported by an NFC card that links directly to your secure digital valuation, making it easy to view and share whenever you need it.
