TAG Heuer Monaco 1969 Automatic Chronograph Men's Watch (MW8472)
A symbol of innovation and excellence, this TAG Heuer Monaco 1969 automatic chronograph men's watch goes back to the brand's iconic roots and revisits the world's first square-shaped, water resistant, automatic chronograph watch in the history of Swiss watch making, first launched in 1969.
A fresh and contemporary update of this unforgettable timepiece, this watch is fastened with a black perforated leather strap and features a 39mm polished stainless steel, square case with a fine-brushed bezel. Scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the blue dial that's enhanced by polished horizontal faceted hour markers and luminescent dots, silver tone hands with flashes of red and luminescent coating, two chronograph sub dials at 9 and 3 o'clock, a printed minuterie, angled date window at 6 o'clock, complete with a vintage style TAG Heuer logo for an iconic look. Water resistant to 100m, this watch is powered by a TAG Heuer Swiss made Calibre 11 automatic movement with a power reserve of around 40 hours. This movement was featured in the original design in 1969, a movement that made this watch a revolutionary piece of watch engineering.
When first launched in 1969, the excitement of this watch captured the attention of many famous icons, including Swiss driver Jo Siffert and Steve McQueen, who insisted on wearing it during filming for Le Mans in 1971. This new design has all of the attributes of the original Monaco to respect its rich heritage and to carry on such timeless and innovative style. CAW211P.FC6356
