A ground breaking moment in watch making history, the Bremont Wright Flyer automatic men's watch is the ultimate aviation timepiece. To celebrate Bremont's passion for aviation, the prestigious watch brand has teamed up with The Wright Family Foundation to create what Bremont have described as their most unique limited edition design to date.
This beautifully elegant watch includes original material used for the Wright Flyer - the first ever aircraft invented that flew, designed by the Wright brothers in 1903. The special material used in this watch design was used to cover the wings of the world changing aircraft and was hand stitched by Wilbur Wright himself. The fabric has been preserved for over a century and Bremont are extremely proud to pay homage to their inspiration and the inventors of the Wright Flyer - Wilbur and Orville Wright, by including a part of history within this fascinating watch collection.
A breath taking design, this handsome watch is fastened with an alligator strap with pin buckle and features a 43mm stainless steel Bremont Trip Trick case construction with integrated decoration ring. The stainless steel exhibit type case back features integrated domed crystal and engraved markings with limited edition serial number. Beneath the anti-reflective, scratch-resistant domed sapphire crystal, the striking metal dial with black base colour is decorated with period numerals, bespoke Bremont SuperLumiNova coating and seconds counter at 9 o'clock with '1903' date dedication to the invention of the Wright Flyer. Water resistant to 100m, this astonishing watch is powered by Bremont's new BWC/01 automatic movement with bi-directional winding mechanism to achieve 50+ hour power reserve. This stunning watch will help raise funds for the Wright brother’s family home in Ohio, which has been opened as a museum to show the brothers heroic work and to support The Wright Foundation.
Proving how important the Wright Flyer aircraft is to aviation history, a piece from the fabric used for the Wright Flyer was also given to Neil Armstrong in 1969, which was sewn into his spacesuit pocket as he took man's first steps on the moon. Own a part of history with this inspirational watch that's completely reliable and extremely robust and a truly astonishing timepiece. WRIGHT FLYERLMT ED
