To pay for goods with Interest Free Credit

  • Select ‘Pay with 0% Finance’. 
  • Choose which finance options suits you best. 
  • Follow the 4 Steps of the payment process including paying the deposit.  
  • You will then be forwarded to the Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance  website. Hitachi are the company that arrange our finance agreements. 
  • Complete the online finance agreement. 
  • If your agreement is approved you will be notified by Hitachi and prompted to print off & sign the relevant paperwork and return to:  Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance, 2 Apex View, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS11 9BH
  • As soon as we receive confirmation that this has been received by Hitachi, your order will be processed and dispatched. 
  • When your order is ready for dispatch you will receive an email from us with a tracking reference attached.

Simple steps

To make sure you have everything you need to make the application process as easy as 123 we have compiled a list of things that you will need to bring with you as well as a criteria checklist to ensure that everything goes without a hitch.

 

1) Application Criteria

In order to qualify for Interest Free Credit you must

  • be 18 or older
  • be in permanent paid employment (over 16 hours a week), retired and receiving a pension, be a house person with a partner in permanent paid employment or be self employed,
  • be a UK resident (minimum of 12 months)
  • be able to provide acceptable proof of address and proof of signature;
  • make payments by direct debit, and
  • be purchasing the product for personal use and not business use

 

2) Proof of address

Please bring at least 2 items out of the list below

  • Driving Licence; or
  • Bank statement (dated in the last 3 months); or
  • Public utility bill/council tax bill (dated in the last 3 months); or
  • Official document (acceptable to us: Mortgage statement from a recognised lender; tenancy agreement); or
  • Benefit book or original notification from the relevant benefits agency; or
  • HM Revenue & Customs Tax notification.

 

3) Proof of Signature

Proof of signature is required for all Credit applications. The following are acceptable proof of signature documents:

  • Bank credit/debit card or cheque card; or
  • Driving Licence; or
  • Passport; or
  • Police Warrant Card; or
  • H.M. Forces Identity Card.

 


 

Declined Credit Applications

If our credit providers decline your application you will have the option of choosing an alternative method of payment (i.e. credit/debit card, PayPal etc) and your deposit will be refunded to you. To speed up the refunding of your deposit we recommend that you call us so we can manually abort/refund your deposit. Once this has been done then depending on your Bank your deposit should be returned within 10 Days.

Your application will have been given full consideration through Hitachi Captial Consumer Finance's (HCCF) credit scoring system. This system takes into account information provided directly by you, on your completed application form. Points are allocated to each piece of information supplied and then added up to produce a total score. A Credit Reference Agency will also have been contacted and a score applied to the information they hold about you.

Your application may have been declined either due to the score attributed to your application details or the score from the Credit Reference Agency, not meeting HCCF's minimum requirements.

As your application may have been declined due to information from a Credit Reference Agency, in accordance with section 26 of the Consumer Credit Act 1974, HCCF are required to notify you that the Agency consulted on your applications was:-

The Agency will be happy to provide you with a copy of your file if you write to them direct enclosing a £2.50 administration fee. If your application was declined due to the score attributed to your personal application details the information you receive from Experian may not show anything detrimental.

We understand that you may be unhappy with HCCF's decision and wish to discuss the matter further. Unfortunately, due to the Data Protection Act they are unable to discuss this with you over the telephone. However, you can write to the address details provided by Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance in the decline letter which you were provided with on the decision page of application, they will be happy to provide you with more information regarding the decision.

Please rest assured that HCCF's decision to decline your application is known only to yourself and Beaverbrooks and has not been disclosed to any outside organisation.
