Maple Leaf Diamonds
A family run business for three generations, like Beaverbrooks, Maple Leaf Diamonds have a life-long passion for diamonds as well as the same exacting standards.
Once considered to be a vast and desolate frozen wasteland, today the pristine Canadian North has become symbolic of the purity and beauty of Canadian diamonds, which are considered to be among the world’s most brilliant and exquisite gems. Discovered after more than a decade of exhaustive exploration in the extreme conditions of the Canadian Arctic, locating these exquisite Canadian diamonds represents one of the greatest achievements in the history of diamond explorations.
Maple Leaf Diamonds originate from one of two diamond mines in Canada’s breathtaking North West territories. Located in a remote Arctic tundra region 200km south of the Arctic Circle, the Ekati and Diavik diamond mines are only accessible by air, except during a three-month period in winter, when a 400km ice-road allows access to the site.
Formed over three billion years ago, Canada’s magnificent gems were once buried under fields of ice 3000m thick. Emerging as beautiful, one-of-a-kind treasures, only select Canadian rough crystals which demonstrate exacting standards of colour, clarity and symmetry are chosen to become Maple Leaf Diamonds. Expertly cut and polished by skilled artisans, the girdle of each large Maple Leaf Diamond is laser-inscribed with three marks of authentication: a unique diamond identification number that corresponds to the certificate of origin; the Maple Leaf Diamond insignia for quality assurance; and the CanadaMark symbol, a validation of each diamond’s Canadian origin.Look up your diamond tracking number here
Pure White Gold
The most beautiful diamonds deserve the most perfect settings, and that’s why we have chosen 18ct PureWhite Gold bands for all of our Maple Leaf Diamonds engagement rings and jewellery. Made exclusively with Canadian gold from the Royal Canadian Mint, PureWhite is a new and unique form of white gold which uses palladium, part of the platinum group of metals, as a whitening alloy.
Whilst all 18ct gold is made up of 75% gold and 25% alloys, PureWhite gold has an exceptionally high palladium content, which is the perfect alloy for white gold as it has the purity of platinum, is hypoallergenic and has a naturally silver-white colour. Our 18ct PureWhite Gold has a bright white finish, its high palladium content making it highly wearable and more durable, which means stronger settings and greater scratch resistance.Shop Maple Leaf Diamonds View Stockists
