The Edo Purple dial symbolises hope for the future and the refined beauty of Edo-period Tokyo, framed by cathedral-style hands, Arabic numerals and wedge-shaped hour markers. Limited to 7,000 pieces worldwide, this commemorative edition marks 145 years since Seiko began as a Tokyo clock and watch repair shop in 1881.

A rotating inner compass ring reinforces the Alpinist’s outdoor purpose, accompanied by a screw-down crown and 200m water resistance. The stainless steel case is treated with Seiko’s super-hard coating for greater scratch resistance, while sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective inner coating maintains excellent dial clarity.

Calibre 6R55 automatic movement delivers a 72-hour power reserve and includes a stop-seconds function for more accurate time setting. An exhibition case back displays the 24-jewel movement alongside the Limited Edition engraving and original Mountain Device logo, while an LWG-approved leather strap secures with a push-button three-fold clasp.
