Drawing on one of Seiko’s most important chronograph designs, this Seiko Limited Edition 145th Anniversary Prospex Speedtimer 41.4mm Solar Chronograph Men’s Watch revisits the Speedtimer first introduced in 1969. The Edo Purple dial symbolises hope for the future and the refined beauty of Edo-period Tokyo, while black subdials, gold-coloured details and a black and purple aluminium bezel create a dynamic, high-contrast finish. Created to mark Seiko’s 145th anniversary and limited to 8,000 pieces worldwide, this commemorative design connects the brand’s Tokyo origins with decades of precision timekeeping.

Powered by natural or artificial light, the in-house V192 solar movement provides approximately six months of operation when fully charged and accuracy of ±15 seconds per month. The chronograph measures up to 60 minutes in 1/5-second increments, accompanied by a power reserve indicator and date display.

A tachymeter scale can be used to calculate speed, while Lumibrite hands and indexes maintain visibility in darker conditions. Curved sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective inner coating protects the dial, complemented by a stainless steel bracelet, push-button three-fold clasp and 100m water resistance.
