Created with the Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology, this Seiko Limited Edition Prospex Marinemaster JAMSTEC 1968 Heritage Reinterpretation 42.6mm Automatic Men’s Watch celebrates ocean exploration and Japanese engineering. Inspired by Seiko’s 1968 diver’s watch and the Mirai II polar research vessel, its textured dial recreates routes cut through Arctic sea ice. Limited to 1,000 pieces worldwide, this flagship Marinemaster is built for diving, adventure and confident everyday wear.

The blue gradient dial features a three-dimensional icebreaker-inspired pattern beneath a dual-curved sapphire crystal. A polished transparent coating adds depth, while the satin texture reduces reflections for clearer visibility.

The streamlined stainless steel case pairs a blue ceramic unidirectional bezel with a scratch-resistant super-hard coating. LumiBrite details, a screw-down crown and 300-metre water resistance support professional diving performance.

Seiko’s 35-jewel calibre 8L45 is crafted at the Shizukuishi Watch Studio and operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour. Adjusted to +10/-5 seconds per day, it delivers an approximately 72-hour power reserve.

The stainless steel bracelet features a secure three-fold clasp with a sliding micro-adjustment system offering up to 16mm of adjustment. The caseback is engraved with “JAMSTEC LIMITED EDITION” and the watch’s individual serial number.
