Celebrating 75 years since Oris first constructed their iconic pilot's watch, this high-tech Oris Big Crown ProPilot Altimeter automatic men's watch is the most innovative watch in its arsenal of pilot's watches and is the first automatic mechanical watch with a mechanical Altimeter. Fastened with a utilitarian olive green textile strap with stainless steel folding clasp which accentuates its aviation inspired aesthetics, the 47mm multi-piece stainless steel case has a masculine knurled bezel and features a stainless steel screw-in security crown and a stainless steel screwed case back with special engravings. Beneath the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal which is domed on both sides and treated with double-sided anti-reflective coating for optimal readability, the black dial is clear and easy to read featuring Arabic numeral hour markers and hands which are coated in Superluminova BG W9 as well as a gauge which displays atmospheric air pressure which is read using the red indicator, and the mechanical altimeter display which displays altitude up to 14,500ft displayed by the yellow indicator. An essential tool for pilots, mountaineers, adventurers and explorers alike, the altimeter is one of six standard cockpit tools which pilots rely on during flight. Water resistant to 100m, this high-functioning watch is powered by an Oris 733 automatic winding mechanical movement with fine timing device and a power reserve of approximately 38 hours.
