I bought this to replace a chain that came with a pendant from a competitor store. I had the previous chain 5+ years wearing it everyday however the replacement from beaverbrooks randomly snapped after 18 months with minimal wear due to covid, fortunately I didn't lose the pendant. When I took the chain for repair it could not be repaired as the gold was described as brittle. I've bought a lot of items from beaverbrooks and have never had any other problems so was surprised by this.

Good afternoon, I am not happy at all with this product, we have now bought two of these chains and both have broken, having spent what is a lot of money to us on a product which I do not expect to break twice with no interference from anything else, almost like it is poorly made and cant be used as a normal necklace. I am now in a position where I am unhappy to purchase again. so leaves my set un usable!!! Not happy at all

I got the original chain for my birthday 18 months ago but it snapped when I caught it whilst taking off my jumper. As such I got a new one as a replacement in October 2022 but this has again snapped. On both occasions there has been no force applied to the necklace. Very disappointed

My husband brought me this chain to put a sentimental pendant on and it has only lasted 18 months before breaking very easily, when moving the necklace so the clasp was to the back of my neck; thankfully I didn’t lose the pendant which is irreplaceable. I would not recommend this as the quality is not up to the cost of the chain.
