People Support (HR) Administrator

Location: Lytham St.Annes, Head Office
Reports to: HR Manager
Contract: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £17,000 - £19,000 per annum (depending on experience) + benefits
Closing Date: 30th November

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrator to join our People Support Department at Beaverbrooks the Jewellers. You will become part of a friendly and hardworking team in an environment of honest feedback and taking accountability for your own decisions.

You will provide generalist support to the People Support team, the office and the Retail team covering approx 65 stores across five regions within the UK.

The Responsibilities:

  • Full HR administration with a high level of accuracy;
  • Full HR administration with a high level of accuracy;
  • First line support for all HR enquiries
  • Providing assistance to Payroll function where necessary;
  • Recruitment: preparing offer letters/packs, pre-employment checks, new starter paperwork;
  • Managing the full New Starter process including issuing contracts of employment and offer letters, eligibility checks, sending references, uploading in to HR & Payroll systems etc;
  • Employee Compliance;
  • Employee Relations: Processing leavers, liaising with HR Manager & Regional team to send/collate letters and information in a timely and accurate manner, liaising with external support as necessary;
  • Maintaining HR database ensuring accuracy of data at all times;
  • Supporting Investigations & disciplinary hearings;
  • Supporting a number of key HR Projects.

Skills and Experience

  • Ability to work accurately & attention to detail;
  • Excellent organisational skills;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer-facing skills;
  • Tact and diplomacy;
  • Previous administrative experience from within a HR team and within a fast paced environment is essential;
  • Multisite experience
  • Enjoy working with people
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work under pressure with a flexible approach;
  • Ability to effectively manage your time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently;
  • Take ownership and use initiative to resolve problems;
  • Build positive working relationships and establish rapport with people at all levels;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn new systems;
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks or the work environment.
